The design takes its color cues from the town's famous blue-and-white church dome: terracotta tiles, chukum plaster walls, handwoven lamps from Tunisia, and furniture sourced from Morocco and India. From €200 per night, it sits midway between the old town's cobblestones and the beach, about 5 minutes' walk to each.

The entry-level room punches above its size. Large windows frame red-tiled rooftops, cobblestone streets, and the slow drift of village life. Sustainable certified-wood furniture, organic textiles, and handmade lamps keep the decor spare but warm. Organic amenities, a walk-in shower, no bathtub.

The flagship mid-tier room — designed for travellers who want real character. The standout feature is a custom-made chukum bathtub (the same waterproof, eco-friendly Mexican material used throughout the hotel), positioned to look out to the old town, courtyard, mountains, or sea depending on the unit. Some have a lounge area with a sofa that converts to a bed. Moroccan and Indian rugs, noble woods, and eclectic artisanal pieces fill the space.

The hotel's most exclusive option. Split across two floors — the lower level holds the bedroom with original wooden beams, sea and mountain views, and a desk. Top-floor suite that is as close to a rooftop room as you'll find in Altea. The private terrace has a large built-in bathtub — you can watch the church bell tower chime from it, with the Sierra de Bernia ridge behind. Traditional Altea colours inside: linen textiles, terracotta, white, and handcrafted decorative pieces.
