Why It Matters
Nathan Outlaw is one of the UK's foremost seafood chefs. The guest house anchors an integrated foodie stay: base yourself here and dine across his two restaurants, with the whole trip cohering around Cornwall's day-boat catch. Listed by both Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels.
A nine-room Victorian guest house above Port Isaac, run by Michelin-starred seafood chef Nathan Outlaw and his wife Rachel. The whole experience is built around food and genuine hospitality — afternoon bakes on arrival, a 24-hour honesty bar, and breakfasts featuring homemade preserves, kedgeree, and fresh Cornish produce. The Bistro sits right inside the building; Outlaw's Fish Kitchen is a 10-minute walk down the hill to the harbour.

How you'll actually spend your days.
A 1-hour speedboat tour around the coast of Port Isaac operated by a local company. Dolphin sightings possible. Recommended by the guest house. Bookable via Boaty's Facebook page.
A short walk to Cliffside Gallery (0.01 miles), featuring artwork by local artist Katie Childs. She works with colours and textures to create pieces inspired by the Cornish landscape. Long supported by the Outlaw's team.
A 2.9-mile coastal walk along the South West Coast Path from Port Isaac to Port Quin. Recommended by the guest house team as the best views in the area. Starts essentially from the front door.
Nathan Outlaw's supper club events held at the guest house. A ticketed evening of hands-on fish cookery with Nathan himself. Not always running — check outlaws.co.uk/grub-club/ for upcoming dates.
Painting and pottery workshops run by a local family at Port Isaac Pottery, 0.3 miles from the guest house. Ceramics, clothing, and gifts also available in-store. Attended by the Outlaw's team themselves for a staff event.
Amenities & Practical Info
The details that matter for planning.
Cosy lounge for guest use with sea views. Good spot for pre-dinner drinks or a quiet read. Same sea outlook as the terrace.
Free WiFi throughout the property.
Stocked bar available to residents 24 hours a day. After 10pm exclusively for residents (not open to Bistro diners). A much-praised feature — guests regularly mention pre-dinner Negronis and late-night nightcaps.
Homemade cakes, scones, biscuits, and brownies served each afternoon. Available throughout the day via tea and coffee stations. Consistently cited by guests as a standout touch.
Included in all stays. Seasonally inspired and cooked to order — options include full Cornish, kedgeree, homemade compotes, preserves, pastries, and breads. Nathan Outlaw occasionally cooks breakfast himself.
A private, spacious decked terrace with far-reaching sea views. Used for afternoon bakes on arrival and sunset drinks. Residents-only.
Electric vehicle charging available on-site.
Bicycle parking available for guests.
Limited on-site parking available on a first-come, first-served basis at the owner's risk. Public car park directly opposite the guest house provides overflow. This is a significant perk in Port Isaac, where parking is notoriously difficult.
