Palm Suite
Eclectic mid-century modern meets tropical jungle lodge. Bold palms-and-flamingo prints, vintage furnishings, and natural materials (wood-beam ceilings, exposed brick) create a deliberately playful contrast to the ancient ruins outside. Quirky, colorful, and intimate.
Check-in is at Palazzo Manfredi (Via Labicana 125) if arriving after hours — it's a 5-minute walk around the other side of the Colosseum
Why It Matters
One of a very small number of Rome properties with direct Colosseum and Roman Forum views from the suite windows. The 18th-century building, interior design by Giorgia Dennerlein, SLH membership, and access to the 1-Michelin-star Aroma restaurant make this genuinely special for the price point.
Palm Suite is a 12-suite boutique property in an 18th-century building literally a one-minute walk from the Colosseum. The interiors are a deliberate riot — jungle-print wallpapers, tropical motifs, herringbone parquet, exposed brick arches, and tiger statues. It is the smaller, more residential sister to Palazzo Manfredi, and the vibe is firmly apartment-house rather than hotel: no on-site bar or restaurant, but guests get access to the Michelin-starred Aroma and The Court cocktail bar next door.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Evening cocktails at The Court terrace bar at Palazzo Manfredi — a 50 Best Discovery venue run by barman Matteo Zed. Sits right beside the Colosseum and is open to Palm Suite guests.
The Colosseum is a 1-minute walk from the front door. The concierge can book skip-the-line tickets in advance. The Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, and Capitoline Hill are all within easy walking distance. Most guests use this as their base for morning archaeological visits before the crowds arrive.
Nearby weekend vintage market in the Monti neighbourhood where Julius Caesar was born. Local artisans, handcrafted accessories, vintage designer finds. Via del Boschetto for independent boutiques is a short stroll.
A set dinner at the 1-Michelin-star Aroma rooftop restaurant at sister hotel Palazzo Manfredi. Chef Giuseppe Di Iorio's tasting menu paired with sommelier Alessandro Crognale's wine selections. Colosseum views from every table.
