City Incheon
Ultra-modern ART-TAINMENT resort — the complex self-describes as art meets entertainment. Bold contemporary architecture (including two buildings designed by Dutch firm MVRDV), moody neon lighting at night, and a scale that feels more like a small city than a hotel. Equal parts cultural destination and late-night playground.
Hit the pool in the morning, not right after 3pm check-in — most guests rush the pool immediately and it's packed. Morning is a different experience.
Why It Matters
Korea's first integrated resort of this type and still the largest. The combination of a genuinely world-class art collection, the CIMER spa, Club Chroma nightclub, and Wonderbox carnival under one roof — plus airport proximity — makes it almost uniquely positioned in Asia. Netflix's Single's Inferno was filmed here, and the property has hosted BTS brand partnerships and global DJ acts.
Paradise City is Northeast Asia's first integrated resort, sitting on Yeongjong Island about 10 minutes by taxi from Incheon International Airport. It packs a 3,000-piece art collection, Korea's largest foreigner-only casino, an indoor carnival theme park, a jjimjilbang-meets-European spa, and a world-class nightclub into one enormous complex. The art is serious — Damien Hirst, Yayoi Kusama, Jeff Koons — and it's displayed across lobby corridors, outdoor gardens, and alcoves most guests walk right past. And on top of all that, there's a separate adults-only boutique hotel (Art Paradiso) for couples who want something darker and more intimate than the main resort.
