Paraíso de los Pinos is an aparthotel complex of 29 suites and 6 villas on the tiny, genuinely unhurried island of Formentera. The whitewashed buildings with their deep-blue shutters sit inside a pine forest, 500 metres from Playa Migjorn, and the whole place functions like a small village: salt-water pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, and a restaurant that punches well above its weight. It's family-friendly without being chaotic, and it closes every year from November through April.
