London River Thames
Sleek contemporary tower hotel with a strong art collection — 20 artists contributed to the 'Park by Water' theme running through the building. Design is polished but somewhat international in feel; could be Hong Kong or Dubai if you squint. The lobby Charlie Whinney sculpture stops you in your tracks.
Northeast corner rooms give the best vantage point — you can see straight down the Thames toward Parliament, the London Eye, and the Shard all at once.
Why It Matters
First and only Park Hyatt in the United Kingdom. Opened 2024 in the One Nine Elms development alongside Park Hyatt Residences. Features one of the largest new ballrooms in central London since 1929. Category 7 World of Hyatt property (25,000–35,000 points standard rooms).
Park Hyatt London River Thames opened in October 2024 as the brand's first UK property, occupying the first 18 floors of a glass-and-limestone tower in the fast-regenerating Nine Elms district. Rooms are generous by London standards — starting at 35 sqm with floor-to-ceiling windows, marble bathrooms, separate tubs and showers, and William Morris wallpaper. The location isn't Mayfair, but it's also not gridlocked Mayfair: Vauxhall tube is five minutes on foot, Battersea Power Station is a riverside stroll away, and you get genuinely dramatic Thames views that central hotels simply can't match.
