Why It Matters
The only historic grand hotel in Bolzano with its own private urban park — a 4,000m² English garden in the city center. The Laurin Bar, with its Bruno Goldschmitt frescoes from 1911, doubles as one of northern Italy's most respected jazz clubs from October to May. Two distinct restaurants under one roof, including the Glasshouse fine dining venue ConTanima.
Parkhotel Laurin has been the address in Bolzano since 1910. The Art Nouveau facade, the creaking parquet floors, the original door handles — nothing here is an accident. Over 200 original 20th-century artworks hang in the rooms, hallways, and park, ranging from impressionism to German Weimar Republic pieces, all personally selected by owner Franz Staffler. The hotel sits on 4,000m² of private park land right in the city center — a genuine rarity — with a heated outdoor pool, a Finnish sauna, and centuries-old giant redwoods and Himalayan cedars. Still privately owned by the Staffler family, three generations in.

Friday night jazz concerts in the Laurin Bar featuring national and international artists. Running October–May, this series has made the Laurin one of the most important jazz clubs in northern Italy over 20+ years.
DJ set, cocktails, and a buffet every Thursday evening. One of Bolzano's most popular social fixtures, drawing locals and guests alike. Signature Laurin Spritz and creative cocktails.
