Why It Matters
The 1,000 sqm wellness area (completely rebuilt in 2023) is the standout: five types of sauna including a Finnish log cabin outdoor sauna, heated pool, whirlpool, Kneipp path, ice grotto, and a full treatments menu. For the Allgäu region this is unusually comprehensive. Add forest jogging trails right from the door, proximity to the Benedictine basilica (500m), and the Allgäu Golf and Country Club nearby.
A solidly comfortable forest-edge hotel sitting above the famous Benedictine monastery in Ottobeuren, in Bavaria's Allgäu region.
