Pavilion
Adults-only (16+) colonial heritage oasis. Khmer and French architecture, lush garden courtyards, boutique-curated décor with local art. Quiet and intimate, not a party hotel. Feels more like staying in a private residence than a hotel.
All 36 rooms are unique — photos online may not match exactly what you get; returning guests often request a specific room they loved before
Why It Matters
Consecutive Michelin Guide selection (2021–2024), set inside a protected royal heritage compound, and one of the rare boutique properties in Phnom Penh that has actively expanded while keeping its architectural integrity intact. Part of the MAADS Hotels group, which has a broader commitment to Cambodian cultural heritage and community training.
A compound of four French-Khmer heritage villas from the 1920s, 170 metres from the Royal Palace. One villa served as a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak — King Sihanouk's mother — and the whole place carries that weight lightly. Opened in 2006 with just 10 rooms and grown to 36, the property sits on 3,000 m² of garden, with two swimming pools and a sense of calm that feels genuinely hard to find in a capital city.
