A family-owned 4-star boutique hotel perched at the edge of Derbyshire's Peak District National Park, six miles from Chesterfield and 15 minutes from Chatsworth House. The Red Lion pub building at its heart dates to the 16th century — original beams and stone still very much in evidence — with a modern hotel extension that adds 27 rooms, all facing the countryside. The whole operation runs on produce from the owner's 360-acre Walton Lodge Farm Estate less than a mile down the road: eggs, bread, beef, the lot.

Chatsworth House is approximately 15 minutes' drive from the hotel. The Chatsworth Break package includes two tickets to Chatsworth House bundled with an overnight stay.
Guided and self-guided eBike tours departing directly from Peak Edge Hotel, operated in partnership with PeakEPedals. A popular 13-mile round trip from the hotel takes in the historic Stone Edge Cupola, quiet country lanes through Uppertown and Milltown, with a stop at the Miners Arms Inn. Tours range from 90 minutes to 6 hours, suitable for all fitness levels.
The hotel is directly on the edge of the Peak District National Park with multiple walking routes accessible from the grounds. The hotel provides route suggestions and the surrounding moorland, country lanes and valleys are all accessible on foot.
