Pendry's New York debut occupies a brand-new building in the Hudson Yards/Manhattan West mixed-use complex. The building's undulating glass exterior by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill is genuinely striking. Interiors by Gachot Studios are among the most thoughtfully lit in any Manhattan hotel. Zou Zou's is a legitimate dining destination, not just a hotel restaurant.
Pendry's first New York hotel sits inside the glossy Manhattan West development, a California luxury brand staking its claim on Midtown's fast-evolving west side. The 23-story glass tower, with its curtain-inspired facade by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, houses 194 rooms and suites designed by Gachot Studios: warm wood tones, Fili D'Oro linens, marble bathrooms with walk-in showers. No pool on site, but the dining program more than compensates, with five distinct spots led by the acclaimed Zou Zou's Eastern Mediterranean kitchen.
