Why It Matters
Designed entirely by K-Studio — Greece's most talked-about design firm — and housed in a protected 1930s Art Deco building. Perianth Hotel occupies a 1930s interwar building on Agia Eirini Square in the heart of Athens. Greek design firm K-Studio gutted and rebuilt the interior from scratch, giving you terrazzo floors, slender black-metal frames, marble furniture, glass-brick walls, and curated works by contemporary Greek artists like Maria Papadimitriou and Yiannis Varelas. The hotel also co-habits with the Zen Center Athens — a non-profit running meditation, martial arts, and yoga — making it one of the more genuinely interesting hotels in the city.

The entry-level rooms at Perianth run 20–25 sqm — small but well thought-out. Terrazzo floors, custom-made walnut wood beds, closets with brass details, grey marble benches, and modular lighting. Each has a private balcony overlooking the surrounding area. Good for couples or solo business travellers who want the design experience without paying suite prices.

The entire 6th floor. Two bedrooms, a living room, dining area with a table for 8, bar, and a large private rooftop terrace with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The 360-degree views take in the Acropolis, Mount Lycabettus, and the whole city. The master bedroom has both a walk-in shower and a bathtub. Custom K-Studio furniture and fittings throughout. This is Athens' best hotel penthouse for the money.
