Plage Palace is the only 5-star hotel in Palavas-les-Flots, conceived by the Costes brothers and built directly on one of the Mediterranean coast's quieter stretches of white sand — five minutes from Montpellier airport but feeling a world away. The two-story structure of crisp white cubes was designed by architects Buttazzoni and Imaad Rahmouni, with interiors by François-Joseph Graaf: think low-slung semicircular banquettes, a fireplace lounge, and bathrooms dressed to look like beach huts. It's restrained luxury — no chandeliers, no marble overkill — just good bones, sea air, and a 27-meter heated pool the color of a lagoon.

An 80 m² family configuration with separate sleeping areas, sea views, and a private terrace. Fits 2 adults and up to 2 children. Two beds, a full bath, and the same high-spec finishes throughout. Both 1st and 2nd floor versions are available.

Entry-level rooms overlooking the hotel's Mediterranean garden planted with Camargue species — pines, tamarisk, and dune grasses. Smaller than the sea-view rooms but the same clean aesthetic: white wood floors, warm neutral tones, and the signature beach-hut bathroom with freestanding bathtub. Each has its own furnished terrace.

Junior Suite – 2nd Floor
Top-floor junior suites with larger terraces that sit almost directly above the beach — about as close to sleeping on the sand as a 5-star hotel gets. Sea views from both the room and the terrace. Guests consistently rate these as the best rooms in the house.
Junior Suite Seaview – 1st Floor
First-floor junior suite with direct sea views and a private terrace. More space than the standard rooms and premium bedding. Bathroom is the full beach-hut treatment: freestanding bath, grey Moroccan stone shower, wood paneling, robes.
Ocean Side Room
The same pared-back design as the Garden rooms but with the sea right in front of you. Large bay windows open onto a furnished terrace-lounge facing the fine-sand beach and the lagoon-green pool. Worth the upgrade — the Mediterranean light in these rooms is something else.
