Pleta de Mar sits on a cliff-edge stretch of Mallorca's quiet east coast, 200 meters from its sister hotel Can Simoneta and about an hour's drive from Palma airport. Thirty suites spread through a forest of pines and wild olive trees, the whole property reserved for adults 16 and up. The grill restaurant Sa Pleta by Marc Fosh — open-fire cooking from the only British chef to hold a Michelin star in Spain — is the big draw beyond the pools and sea views.

The entry-level suite and still impressive. At 50 sqm it combines bedroom and living area in one minimalist space, with a large dressing room and a bathroom featuring both indoor and outdoor bath and shower. The top of the house. At 90 sqm with a private pool, full separation of living room and bedroom, and a large bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower — this is complete privacy in a spectacular package. One of only three at the hotel, so availability is limited. At 70 sqm there's a proper separation between the bedroom and large living room. Comes with indoor and outdoor shower, outdoor hydromassage, a large terrace facing the sea, and a private chill-out area directly on the sea. The extra space is the main event.

The hotel can arrange visits to Torre de Canyamel, a historic medieval tower, and its traditional Porxada restaurant, both run by the same ownership group.
The hotel can arrange tee times at four nearby courses: Canyamel Golf (4 km, 18 holes, par 73, designed by José Gancedo), Pula Golf (8 km, redesigned by Olazábal), Capdepera Golf (8 km, 18 holes, par 72, designed by Dan Maples), and Son Servera (10 km, 18 holes, par 72).
