Posada Ayana is a flat-roofed, clean-lined modern hotel run by the Kofler family — Robert, Edda, and daughter Felice — who moved from Vienna and opened this place in 2021. It sits steps from Mansa Beach in José Ignacio, the kind of upscale fishing village that attracts serious money without trying too hard. The whole aesthetic is Côte d'Azur circa 1960: vintage furniture sourced from Montevideo and Buenos Aires, no TVs, hand-woven sheep's wool blankets, and fresh flowers everywhere.
