Providence
Urban Parisian romance — retro-influenced, design-forward, dark and theatrical. Think House of Hackney wallpaper, flea-market finds, vintage objets, and Madeleine Castaing carpets. Closer to Soho House cool than luxury-hotel polish.
Book the Penthouse Suite if budget allows — 45m², record player, Sacré-Cœur views from the bath
Why It Matters
The in-room cocktail bar concept is genuinely unique — every category from the 13m² Mini up to the 45m² Penthouse Suite has a bespoke, marble-topped bar with ice-maker, shakers, and a full spirits lineup. The Penthouse Suite also has a record player with a selection of vinyl 45s and a freestanding clawfoot bath from which you can see the Sacré-Cœur. The building dates to 1854 and was once derelict before being transformed by architect Philippe Medioni.
Hôtel Providence is a moody, 18-room boutique sitting right on the border of the 10th and 3rd arrondissements — a neighborhood that has more in common with Canal Saint-Martin and the upper Marais than with any postcard Paris landmark. The building dates to 1854 and architect Philippe Medioni turned it into something that feels like the set of a Nouvelle Vague film: dim lighting, velvet-lined walls, Pointe de Hongrie wooden floors, marble mosaics, and a fireplace in the lobby. Every single room comes with a custom-built cocktail bar and ice-maker in place of a standard minibar, and a 27-inch iMac instead of a desk.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Every room has a custom-built, marble-topped cocktail bar with a built-in ice-maker, shaker, and full mixologist toolkit alongside a stocked minibar. It's designed to encourage guests to actually use it — the hotel positions this as a pied-à-terre experience rather than a standard hotel stay.
The Penthouse Suite comes with a turntable record player and a curated selection of vinyl 45s — a nice touch for the music-minded guest.
The hotel offers a full concierge service that goes well beyond basic recommendations. Through privileged partnerships, the team can book tables at Paris's most sought-after restaurants, secure tickets to top exhibitions and Grands Boulevards theater shows, and organize bespoke itineraries.
