The Pulitzer Roma sits in Rome's EUR district — the rational, marble-clad modernist quarter built for Mussolini's never-held 1942 World's Fair, now a business hub south of the city center. It's a 4-star design hotel with a 70s-inflected aesthetic, warm parquet floors, and carefully curated details across 83 recently renovated, soundproofed rooms. Think contemporary Italian design with original sketches and sculptures in rooms, not frescoes and chandeliers. The La Nuvola congress centre is right next door, and the EUR Marconi metro (Line B) puts the Colosseum about 20 minutes away. Not the hotel for romantics wanting to roll out of bed and into the Pantheon, but genuinely comfortable and very good value for the level of design.
