Faria Lima
Design-forward boutique luxury. Brazilian art and modernism throughout. Urban sanctuary energy without being precious about it — the bar is genuinely fun, the restaurant is open to the street crowd, and the art collection is treated as living rather than decorative.

Why It Matters
Michelin Key holder. Arthur Casas architecture. Every room has a different curated art selection by Guilherme Wisnik. Charlô Whately — a São Paulo culinary name — runs all food and beverage. Rooms use Alexa for automation and feature pieces by Brazilian design icons Jorge Zalszupin, Sergio Rodrigues, and Percival Lafer. Part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts LVX collection.
Pulso opened quietly in March 2024 on a side street off Faria Lima Avenue, and it's already the most compelling new hotel in São Paulo. Architect Arthur Casas designed a building that reads like Brazilian modernism distilled — a brise-soleil facade of wood-toned slats, a lobby anchored by a 30-meter Nuno Ramos artwork running along the indoor garden, and rooms furnished with vintage pieces Casas personally sourced from the Bixiga antique market. The culinary lineup (Charlô Bistrô, Sarau Bar, Cha Cha Boulangerie) is genuinely good rather than hotel-grade good, and the wellness floor — heated pool, Technogym gym, Pulso Spa by L'Occitane — is properly thought through.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
The hotel houses a curated collection of Brazilian contemporary art assembled by São Paulo critic and architect Guilherme Wisnik. Works are distributed across every room and common area. The lobby installation 'Mácula' by Nuno Ramos runs 30 meters along the indoor garden with large-scale Braille inscriptions. No formal tour — the art is simply present throughout the property.
Thursday to Saturday evenings, DJ and sound researcher Victor Kurc brings São Paulo's nightlife scene into the bar. Open to hotel guests and the public.
Every Tuesday evening at Sarau Bar, Estúdio Pulso presents live Brazilian music performances curated by musician and cultural figure Rômulo Fróes. Past artists have included Vanessa Moreno, Sophia Chablau, Bruna Alimonda, and Bruna Caram. Ticketed event open to non-guests.
Meeting rooms adaptable for small corporate gatherings and private events. The hotel also handles private dining and event hire at the Sarau Bar.
A Technogym-equipped gym on the wellness floor. Open 24 hours for guests. On weekdays, a sports advisor is available for guidance. City views from the equipment floor.
Covered and heated pool on the wellness floor, set in a window-lined room that appears to float above the central garden. Food, beverage, and towel service available poolside. Pool is heated year-round.
