Founded in 1836 and set inside Stelvio National Park just outside Bormio, QC Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi is a five-star Art Nouveau grande dame with a pink facade, red shutters, and flower-filled balconies. The real pull is the 11,000 sq metre thermal complex — one of the largest in the Alps — where guests access panoramic outdoor pools, saunas, Turkish baths, and the Venus Garden directly from their room in a bathrobe. No two of the 74 rooms are quite alike, and the Royal Suite still holds the original pink Candoglia marble bathtub installed for King Vittorio Emanuele III in 1917.

Comfort Double Room with Balcony and Spa Access

Royal Suite
The most historically significant room in the hotel. Designed and built in 1917 for a state visit by King Vittorio Emanuele III of Italy. One grand, single open space divided by Corinthian columns. Two bathrooms: one modern, one preserving the king's original pink Candoglia marble bathtub fed with thermal water. A genuine piece of Italian royal history that still functions as a hotel suite.

One route leads from Bagni Nuovi to the Fonte Pliniana — an artificial grotto built around a natural spring whose water is promoted as a regenerating drink. Trails vary in difficulty.
