Why It Matters
One of the more ambitious resort buildouts on Baja's Pacific coast — a 30-acre oceanfront property with a 25,000 sq ft spa, three distinct restaurants anchored by a chef with three decades of international experience, and an organic ethnobotanical culinary program that pulls directly from on-site gardens. No TVs in any room by design. The beach itself is wide and uncrowded, though the surf is powerful and not always swimmable.
Thirty acres of Pacific-facing Baja on a long, wild beach a couple miles south of Todos Santos. The property started as a 27-room boutique escape back in 2009, closed for a massive expansion in 2018, reopened under Hyatt's Unbound Collection in 2022, and is now operating as Kimpton Mas Olas Resort and Spa under IHG. Today it holds 103 rooms, suites, and villas — all intentionally TV-free — plus three restaurants, a 25,000 sq ft spa, and more wellness programming than most people can process in a week.
