A genuinely working olive farm that produces four award-winning extra virgin olive oil varieties on site. The estate mills its own oil 300 metres from the hotel, and that oil ends up on your dinner plate at Gramole. Tablet Hotels-listed and part of the Space Hotels consortium.
Built in 2018 and opened in 2019, Relais Chiaramonte is a 25-room agriturismo that makes no apologies for being modern. The building wears its influences honestly — timbered ceilings, earthy palette, a working olive mill nearby — without pretending it's a 500-year-old farmhouse. Positioned on a plateau in the Irminio valley, on a 99-hectare estate of 16,000 olive trees, the views stretch from the Monti Iblei all the way to the sea. On a clear day you can see Malta.
