Why It Matters

The only ultra-luxury hotel in Banff National Park perched directly on Sulphur Mountain, adjacent to the Banff Gondola and Upper Hot Springs. As North America's first Emblems Collection property, the 2026 reopening introduces the first thermal wellness bathing facility of its kind in the destination, alongside a vinyl listening lounge, signature Canadian terroir restaurant, and guided wilderness expeditions run by in-house 'Pathfinders'.

Carved into the slopes of Sulphur Mountain above Banff's Bow Valley, Rimrock Banff is the first Emblems Collection hotel in North America — Accor's ultra-luxury brand defined by character-rich properties with a strong sense of place. Currently closed for a full property-wide renovation, it reopens July 2026 with 320 redesigned rooms, a new 9,600 sq ft two-storey Bathhouse wellness facility, four new dining concepts, and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the national park.
