Rockhouse Hotel
Boho-luxe cliffside hideaway with a laid-back Jamaican soul. Refined but never uptight. Think four-poster beds under muslin netting, open-air showers over the rocks, and live mento music at the rum bar. The design takes its cues from African village architecture — hexagonal thatched villas that feel like they grew out of the cliff.

Why It Matters
Michelin Key 2025, Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2025, and Travel + Leisure World's Best 2025. Historic guests in the 1970s included Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones — the property was already legendary before it was formally a hotel. One-third of profits fund the Rockhouse Foundation, which has invested over $11 million USD into local schools and community development in Negril. No TVs in any room is a deliberate policy, not an oversight.
Rockhouse is a 50-year-old boutique hotel perched on the volcanic cliffs of Negril's West End, right above Pristine Cove on Jamaica's westernmost point. All 40 rooms are handcrafted from stone, timber, and thatch across 8 acres of tropical gardens. There are no TVs anywhere, no beach on-site, and no big-resort energy — just a 60-foot infinity pool carved into the bluff, three restaurants, an award-winning spa, and some of the most jaw-dropping sunsets in the Caribbean.
