Rosemary is a five-room, adults-only riad in the Riad Zitoun Jdid neighbourhood of Marrakech's medina, a short walk from the Bahia Palace. Belgian artist Laurence Leenaert and her Moroccan partner Ayoub Boualam — founders of the internationally recognised LRNCE lifestyle brand — spent three years transforming this historic mansion, enlisting 20+ master craftspeople from across Morocco to create every surface by hand. The result is their first hospitality project and a fully lived-in continuation of the LRNCE world: zellige tile headboards, hand-carved cedar ceilings, custom terrazzo floors, hand-painted bathroom tiles, and a 40-year-old jacaranda tree rising through the central courtyard.

Bird Nest
The most eclectic room in the house. A sculptural fireplace shaped like the pendulous nest of a North African Firecrest bird anchors the space, surrounded by framed LRNCE textiles, ceramic lampshades and a bed topper. A walk-in closet, and a wildly characterful bathroom with a pink loo, stained-glass 'sun', and crazy-paving floor inset with marble offcuts. Connects directly to Clemande for groups.

Clemande
A bright room in the gentlest shades of pink, with a big personality and what the riad calls its most romantic bathroom. Signature geometric shelves are dotted with LRNCE ceramics, curated books, and found objects. Crystal lights bounce light around a marble bathtub bathroom. Comes with a private balcony (8m²) overlooking the courtyard patio.

Cocoon
The smallest room in the house, but every centimetre earns its keep. Soaring proportions allowed for elegant arches and floor-to-ceiling linen drapes that create a dreamy sleeping nook. Pool views from a built-in bench. The bathroom has a vast stained-glass window and a sink inspired by Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus'. Compact — no bathtub, shower only.

Jacaranda
Ground-floor room with direct access to the courtyard pool — perfect for an early morning dip. Features green terrazzo floors with brass accents, a sculptural bed with a grand arched zellige tile headboard, a stained-glass door based on an original Laurence Leenaert drawing, and an antique writing desk with ink blotter. Roaring-twenties romance, riad-style.

Rosemary Suite
The master bedroom and the most architecturally elaborate room in the house. A hand-carved cedar wood ceiling overhead, a balcony that opens onto a jungle-like planting, and a two-person Arabescato marble bathtub. The LRNCE dining table (inox and marble) makes it possible to host a proper in-room dinner party. This is the one to book if you want space and a room that tells a story.

A small pool in the central courtyard, shaded by the 40-year-old jacaranda tree and surrounded by hand-poured terrazzo tiles. Quiet and private — for hotel guests only.
A hands-on class led by Laurence Leenaert herself (subject to availability). Guests paint their own ceramic pot — shaped by a local artisan, using colours inspired by the Marrakech landscape. You take the piece home. The rosemary sprig motif is a popular choice.
Guided sessions in traditional Moroccan craft techniques including chiselling zellige tiles and carving plaster, led by local artisans. Offered depending on availability.
The entire riad (all five rooms) can be booked for exclusive use — private gatherings, brand events, photoshoots. A private external chef or professional bartender can be arranged.
A tailored private walking tour of the medina's traditional workshops — pottery, leatherwork, wood carving — guided by a knowledgeable local guide and customised to your interests.
