Doha
Architecturally sculptural, culturally rooted. The vibe is sophisticated and considered rather than flashy — manor-style hospitality with a distinctly Qatari soul. Oceanic interiors, the scent of bakhoor and dates in the lobby, and an art collection woven throughout public spaces. Quieter and more design-forward than many Gulf luxury hotels.
Ask for an Arabian Gulf-facing room rather than a Lusail City view — the sea-facing side is worth it, especially at sunset
Why It Matters
The only Rosewood in Qatar, sitting on the edge of Lusail Marina. Designed by Ibrahim M. Jaidah, one of Qatar's most prominent architects, the coral facade is genuinely striking. Asaya is one of the more serious wellness operations in the Gulf, with a 3,600 sq.m. footprint covering spa, three pools, padel courts, sound healing, and a dedicated nutrition program. The Koo Madame restaurant — Shanghai-style dining with bamboo-aged cocktails and Gongfu Cha rituals — is among the most talked-about dining rooms in Doha.
Rosewood Doha rises along the Lusail Marina promenade as a pair of coral-reef-inspired towers designed by Qatari architect Ibrahim M. Jaidah. The twin towers hold 155 rooms and suites, plus long-stay apartments and residences, all finished with regional materials — desert tones, sea-glass blues, and subtle nods to Qatari craft traditions. Eight dining venues, a 3,600 sq.m. Asaya wellness club, and experiences like falconry and desert dinners make this a fully self-contained destination in Lusail, Qatar's purpose-built 'city of the future.'
