Book a sea-view room — the price difference over a mountain-facing room is worth it

Why It Matters

Former residence of Archduke Louis Salvador of Austria; declared a Site of Historic and Cultural Interest; located within the UNESCO World Heritage Serra de Tramuntana; dining overseen by Marcel Ress, who held a Michelin star at Simply Fosh; one of the most dramatic pool and sea-view positions in all of Mallorca.

A 17th-century Mallorcan stone estate perched above the Mediterranean on the Valldemossa-Deià road, Sa Pedrissa was once the home of Archduke Louis Salvador of Austria and is now a declared Site of Historic Interest. Adults-only (guests 16+) and small by design — 14 rooms total — it sits squarely inside the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana. Most rooms lean into antique Mallorcan character: exposed stone, warm colours, traditional furniture. But the two Deluxe Suites do the opposite: floor-to-ceiling windows, minimalist lines, panoramic sea views. The 12×6m pool is elevated right at the cliff edge and looks straight out to the Mediterranean.

Deluxe Suite Sea View

Here is the modern counterpart to Sa Pedrissa's antique rooms. Two of these, both with floor-to-ceiling windows designed to frame the sea-and-mountain panorama rather than decorate around it. Minimalist furniture, private terrace, 65 m² — this is the contemporary take on the property's luxury tier.

Double Sea View

The entry-level room at Sa Pedrissa, and compact is the honest word for it at 15 m². But it does face the sea, and watching the sunset over the Deià valley from this room costs considerably less than the suites above it.

Double Superior

At 27 m², the largest of the double rooms, this one faces the Tramuntana mountains rather than the sea. There's a shared terrace — good for morning coffee in the mountain air. Choose this if the sea view isn't a priority and you want more space for less money.

Grand Suite Garden and Private Pool

A standalone suite set in the property's garden, this 65 m² casita-style room offers total privacy. Views are of the Deià valley and mountains rather than the sea. The private pool, spacious bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower, and separate living room make it feel closer to a private villa than a hotel room.

A guest favourite. Spread over two floors — living room up top, bedroom and bathroom on the main floor — with a private terrace that catches the Mediterranean light at all hours. The tower element gives it an architectural character that none of the other rooms match. Multiple reviewers single this one out.
