Why It Matters
One of the few large Mykonos resorts with a genuine 200-meter private beach in the quieter, more scenic Agios Ioannis bay. The sunsets over Delos Island from the pool or beach are legitimately spectacular. Family-owned by the Petinos hospitality group with decades of history on the island.
Saint John sits on 20,000 square meters of Agios Ioannis bay, facing due west toward Delos Island — which means every evening the sunset puts on a show directly in front of the property. The resort is large by any standard (152 rooms, suites, and villas), but the 200-meter private beach and whitewashed Cycladic architecture keep it feeling like its own world. Recently renovated in 2023 with a new lobby and updated rooms, it's a full-service beachfront resort with three restaurants, a spa, conference halls, and a tennis court.
