Why It Matters
Positioned at the westernmost point in France (Le Conquet, Finistère), the hotel's cantilevered facade actually overhangs the Celtic Sea. It's the only hotel at this latitude with 34 ocean-view rooms, a cliffside marine spa, and a rooftop bar facing Ouessant Island — all inside a restored brutalist icon.
A legendary brutalist cube of concrete and glass perched on the very last rocky promontory of mainland France before the Atlantic. Long abandoned, the building was stripped back to its raw concrete bones and fully rebuilt — floor-to-ceiling windows now run throughout every room, so the Iroise Sea is the only view you get. All 34 rooms face the ocean. The rooftop bar sits at the edge of the world, and La Corniche restaurant serves what the sea drops off each morning.
