Salterra opened in early 2025 as a $130M resort on South Caicos—a quieter, less-developed island that most Turks & Caicos visitors skip entirely. That's the point. With just one other resort sharing the coastline and only 1,100 people on the whole island, you get genuine solitude without sacrificing much. The resort leans into the island's salt-harvesting past: coral stone walls sourced from the Dominican Republic, carved wooden duho chairs, and hand-finished details that reference the indigenous Taino culture. All 100 rooms face the ocean and more than half are butler-serviced suites.
