Why It Matters
One of the most complete castle hotel experiences in northern Germany: a properly historic building, a championship golf course designed by Stan Eby with the world's largest eco-bunker project, a Sothys Paris-partnered spa, its own farm supplying the kitchens, and a bar named Best Cocktail Bar in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The whole resort complex (including Robinson Club and BEECH Resort) covers enormous grounds but the Schloss itself remains the premium address.
A neo-baroque manor house originally built in 1842 and comprehensively renovated in 2016 and 2021, SCHLOSS Fleesensee is the anchor property of the larger Hotels & Sportresort Fleesensee estate in the Mecklenburg Lake District. Think grand staircase, a 3.5-hectare castle park, 175 rooms and suites, and a Schlossplatz golf course right outside the door. The hotel sits about 160 km from Berlin and 200 km from Hamburg — far enough to genuinely feel remote, close enough for a long weekend.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The hotel operates its own Fleesensee farm supplying the kitchens. Guests can experience beekeeping, herb walks, nesting projects, and greenhouse tours. The farm also maintains rose beds and produces the beans for the hotel's own Rösterei roastery.
Guided stargazing session in the castle grounds, well away from urban light pollution. Guests lie on blankets with drinks and snacks (provided), accompanied by a 25-minute audio guide (German and English) covering the night sky. Max 60 minutes.
