Seven Rooms Villadorata
Aristocratic Grand Tour — intimate and personal, with historic palazzo bones softened by owner-curated furnishings and a deliberately anti-formal approach. Guests feel like house guests, not hotel customers.
Each room is named after a Sicilian wind — ask about the personality of each when booking.
Why It Matters
A Michelin Key-awarded 10-room palace hotel in the heart of one of Italy's great Baroque cities. The former private apartments of Prince Corrado Nicolaci di Villadorata, sensitively restored and opened to guests since 2009. Each room is named after a Sicilian wind. Rates start around €500/night.
Seven Rooms Villadorata occupies the upper floors of Palazzo Nicolaci di Villadorata, an 18th-century Late Baroque palace smack in the middle of Noto's UNESCO World Heritage historic center. Opened in 2009 by Cristina Summa, who designed every detail herself, it earned a Michelin Key in both 2024 and 2025. Ten rooms and suites — each named after a wind — sit behind a courtyard with two palm trees and a jasmine tree. Frescoed ceilings up to five meters high, original terracotta floors, and Officine Villadorata bath products. There is no pool here. No gym. No spa. But the palazzo courtyard has guest parking, breakfast arrives in-room each morning, and you can walk to everything Noto has to offer in minutes.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Chauffeur transfers to and from airports (Catania Fontanarossa, Comiso) can be arranged on request.
Guests at Seven Rooms can travel to the sister property Country House Villadorata (~15 min by car) to use its pool, gardens, and dine at Orti Villadorata restaurant. Not an on-site amenity.
The hotel can arrange dinghy rentals and sailboat rental with skipper, giving access to the clear waters along the Noto coast near Lido di Noto and the Vendicari Reserve.
Guided tours of Noto and surrounding Baroque towns (Modica, Ragusa, Siracusa) can be arranged on request through the concierge.
Cooking classes can be organised on request. The sister property Country House Villadorata also runs classes. Guests staying at Seven Rooms can participate.
The private princely rooftop terrace, open daily 7pm–10:30pm (closed Mondays) by reservation only. Views over Noto's domes and coast. Limited availability makes this feel genuinely exclusive.
Wine tasting experiences in local wine cellars can be arranged through the hotel concierge, drawing on the rich Nero d'Avola and Pachino terroir of the Val di Noto.
