SingleThread Inn
Japanese-inflected farm-to-table inn. Modern and clean with redwood beams, exposed brick, and high ceilings. Think California wine country filtered through a Kyoto sensibility. Intimate, food-obsessed, and intensely curated.

Why It Matters
Rooms start around $1,500/night and top out near $2,500 — and that comes with a guaranteed seat at a 3-Michelin-Star restaurant, a multi-course breakfast, complimentary Audi e-tron EV, and in-room amenities sourced from local artisans and foragers. Also holds Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star, AAA 5 Diamond, World's 50 Best (#46 in 2024), and Relais & Châteaux membership since 2017.
Five rooms above one of California's most decorated restaurants — that's the full scale of SingleThread Inn. Chef Kyle Connaughton and his wife Katina, who runs the 24-acre biodynamic farm just down the road in Dry Creek Valley, opened this place in December 2016 and haven't looked back since. The inn holds 3 Michelin Keys, the restaurant holds 3 Michelin Stars, and every stay comes with a guaranteed dinner reservation. It is, by most measures, one of the hardest tables in the country to land.

Breakfast can be served on the rooftop garden from April through October, weather permitting. A memorable alternative to the in-room or study options.
The 24-acre SingleThread farm in Dry Creek Valley offers educational workshops and programs open to guests. The farm grows hundreds of culinary crop varieties, hosts beehives, and operates 100+ olive trees — all farmed by hand.
