Singureni Manor Equestrian Retreat
Romanian hunting-lodge elegance meets working horse sanctuary. Think aged bourbons by the fireplace, antique wood panels, and Arabian stallions outside your window at dawn.
Saturday night 6-course Chef's Experience dinner is included in the room rate — don't double-book La Hambar that night
Why It Matters
Awarded 1 MICHELIN Key 2025. One of Europe's only luxury hotels built around an active Arabian horse breeding operation. La Hambar restaurant serves a 10-course modern Romanian tasting menu. Property spans 700 hectares with over 3,000 wild animals.
An hour's drive south of Bucharest, on 1,500+ acres of oak and acacia forest, Singureni Manor is the only hotel in the Michelin selection with an active Arabian horse breeding program — think 120+ horses, a world-class equestrian trainer, and weekly Saturday beauty shows. There are two distinct buildings: Paul's Lodge, the original hunting-lodge manor with 14 antique-furnished rooms and a private indoor pool; and Paul's Horses, an 18-room inn whose lobby door opens directly into the stables. Dinner at La Hambar is adults-only and genuinely excellent; Sunday brunch draws day-trippers from the capital on a strictly pre-booked basis.
