Sir Albert is a 90-room boutique hotel in Amsterdam's De Pijp district, housed in a fortified 19th-century diamond-cutting factory. The building's industrial bones — high ceilings, oversized windows, solid walls that don't rattle when trams pass — have been dressed up with contemporary Dutch furniture, art, and design by award-winning firm BK Architecture. Open-plan layout puts the bed and shower in one flowing space — those high ceilings and big windows from the old diamond factory make 20sqm feel less cramped than the number suggests.
