Why It Matters
One of very few resorts in Vietnam that is genuinely boat-access only, creating real physical separation from Nha Trang's tourist strip. The villa typology is unusually varied — you can choose between beach, overwater, rock, hill, or private-bay positions. The Rock Retreat and Water Reserve are among the most dramatically sited three-bedroom villas in Southeast Asia.
Six Senses Ninh Van Bay sits on a dramatic, sheltered bay backed by mountains and boulder-strewn hills on the edge of the East Vietnam Sea — and the only way in is by boat. That's not a gimmick. The water transfer from Nha Trang is the first signal that the outside world is being left behind. Nine villa categories are spread across the bay, from overwater bungalows directly above coral formations to hilltop retreats with panoramic ocean views to a three-bedroom rock outcrop villa accessed by private speedboat. The spa, set in its own hillside compound, runs the full Six Senses wellness program complete with biomarker testing, an Alchemy Bar, and a troop of endangered Black-Shanked Langur monkeys living in the hills behind.

Three bedrooms set on the western tip of the bay in its own completely private cove — the only access is by private speedboat. This is the most theatrical property on the resort. A waterslide drops into the private plunge pool, the sun deck is perched on the bare rock face, and the west-facing aspect means front-row sunset views every evening. A private walkway exists for trekking enthusiasts who want to hike in.
