Why It Matters
Michelin Key-awarded house set in the monumental 1930s Bungehuis building. The only Soho House in the Netherlands, with a rooftop pool overlooking the Singel canal, a full Cowshed spa, and a publicly accessible Cecconi's restaurant. Opened 2018 after years of neighbour objections slowed development.
Soho House Amsterdam occupies The Bungehuis, a 1930s Art Deco trading office turned university on the edge of the Singel canal. Seven floors of mid-century modern interiors — restored timber panelling, stained-glass windows, parquet floors, Dutch contemporary art — make this feel genuinely rooted in the city rather than parachuted in. Non-members can book the 79 bedrooms and eat at Cecconi's on the ground floor, but the rooftop pool, gym, screening room, and club spaces are members-only territory.

Canal Room and Blue Room are available for laptop work all day (if vacant). Main club space allows laptops until 6pm only. No laptops in the House Kitchen or on the rooftop.
