House Istanbul
Cozy-maximalist British club aesthetic layered onto Ottoman and Venetian bones. Think kilim rugs, Byzantine tiles, velvet armchairs, Marshall speakers, and 19th-century frescoes. The crowd is creative-industry: designers, architects, film types, and their guests.
Non-members can book the hotel rooms, eat at Cecconi's and The Allis, and use the Cowshed spa — but the main Palazzo Corpi clubhouse, the Embassy Club, the gym, steam room, and sauna all require a Soho House membership or membership upgrade.
Why It Matters
Turkey's first private members' club of this kind, set in one of Beyoğlu's most historically loaded buildings. The art collection alone — over 350 works curated by Francesca Gavin — rivals small museums. The rooftop view over the Golden Horn is genuinely spectacular.
Soho House Istanbul occupies the Palazzo Corpi, a neoclassical 1873 building that served as the U.S. Embassy from 1906 to 2003 before Soho House moved in and restored its frescoed walls, Carrara marble staircases, and grand rosewood doors. It spans four structures including the original palazzo, an Annex, a Chancery, and a sleek modern Glass Building where the 87 hotel bedrooms actually live. Non-members can book rooms, eat at Cecconi's or The Allis, and use the Cowshed spa — but the Palazzo Corpi clubhouse itself is off-limits without a membership.
