Peak Lodge
Sophisticated mountain ranch. Bluestone walls, recycled Douglas fir timber, high cathedral ceilings, walls of glass. Earthy palette of charcoal, chocolate and caramel. Open fireplaces in almost every room. It feels more like a very well-appointed family homestead than a hotel — staff know guests by name within an hour of arrival.

Why It Matters
Two MICHELIN Keys awarded. Member of Luxury Lodges of Australia. The all-inclusive model is genuinely comprehensive — guests never reach for a wallet once on property. The chef-hatted Peak restaurant is a destination in its own right, open to non-guests for lunch. One of the few properties in Australia that holds its own against international wilderness lodges on food and service.
Australia's highest non-alpine mountain lodge, sitting 1,100 metres above sea level on 8,000 acres of wilderness in Queensland's Scenic Rim. Just 10 suites in the main lodge and 2 private escarpment lodges keep it genuinely intimate — you're sharing the mountain with maybe 20 other guests, and the Brangus cattle that roam the grounds. Everything is all-inclusive: all meals, selected beverages, minibar, and a rotating slate of guided experiences. The Peak restaurant anchors the whole thing, serving a multi-course degustation that changes daily and pulls serious ingredient sourcing from the surrounding region.

Guided excursion to Queensland's premier wine region, the Granite Belt — an additional paid experience arranged through the lodge.

At 1,100m above sea level with minimal light pollution, the night sky here is exceptional. Guided stargazing sessions available, and some suites let you watch constellations from the bathtub.
On-site tennis court with all equipment provided.
Outdoor yoga sessions included in the rotating activity programme.
