Rabat Hotel
Contemporary Moroccan meets post-modern French — privacy-first, design-forward, surprisingly residential in feel. Not flashy from the outside (easy to miss it as another walled mansion). Inside, it's more like a well-curated private home than a traditional hotel.

Why It Matters
Ranked #1 of 91 hotels in Rabat on TripAdvisor and named 'Best Luxury Boutique Hotel' in Morocco by Luxury Lifestyle Awards (New York) for 2020 and 2022. Green Key International certified for sustainability. Le Safran restaurant is helmed by Chef Youssef Zeroual, named Chef of the Year 2021 by the World Organisation of Gastronomy.
STORY Rabat is a 5-star boutique hotel sitting in Rabat's quiet, walled embassy district — a neighborhood of leafy avenues, consulates, and private mansions that feels a world away from the city center. Formerly Villa Diyafa (2014), the property was completely reimagined by Parisian design studio MHNA (Marc Hertrich & Nicolas Adnet), with interiors paying homage to Ziryab, the 9th-century Arab-Andalusian polymath credited with inventing the concept of fashion and refined dining. The result is a sprawling, low-rise contemporary building where bold purples, greens, and chromes collide with lacquered white walls and traditional Moroccan craft — 27 rooms, 10 suites, and one very private standalone villa surrounding a long garden courtyard.
