STORY Rabat is a 5-star boutique hotel sitting in Rabat's quiet, walled embassy district — a neighborhood of leafy avenues, consulates, and private mansions that feels a world away from the city center. Formerly Villa Diyafa (2014), the property was completely reimagined by Parisian design studio MHNA (Marc Hertrich & Nicolas Adnet), with interiors paying homage to Ziryab, the 9th-century Arab-Andalusian polymath credited with inventing the concept of fashion and refined dining. The result is a sprawling, low-rise contemporary building where bold purples, greens, and chromes collide with lacquered white walls and traditional Moroccan craft — 27 rooms, 10 suites, and one very private standalone villa surrounding a long garden courtyard.

The Diyafa Suites ('diyafa' meaning hospitality in Arabic) mirror the Ziryab Suites in size but swap the upper-floor balcony for a private garden terrace at ground level. Same 80 sqm footprint, king bed, separate lounge, large walk-in shower, freestanding bath, double sink, and a dedicated dressing room. Named after the hotel's original identity, Villa Diyafa.

The most private address in the hotel — a two-story, 182 sqm standalone villa set in a secluded corner of the grounds with its own entrance, completely separate from the main hotel. Surrounded by exclusive gardens and a deck terrace with a private swimming pool. Also has its own private hammam, powder room, and maid's quarters. Sleeps up to four guests. This is the full private-residence experience, with 24-hour personalized service.
