Why It Matters
It is one of the few hotels on Paros with a genuinely serious fine-dining restaurant: Galazia Hytra, a collaboration with the Michelin-starred Hytra in Athens. That alone sets it apart on an island where most upscale dining is casual taverna fare. Add a thorough spa, a well-equipped gym, and 12 private pools in the suite category, and you have a resort that holds up to international luxury standards.
Summer Senses is a whitewashed 5-star resort on Paros's eastern coast, spread across 11 low-slung Cycladic buildings on a 30-acre hillside. The 100 rooms and suites cascade down the slope in terraces, which gives the whole place a private-village feel rather than a hotel-corridor one. There are two camps: the social end anchored by the main pool, and the quieter private-pool-suite cluster on the other side — pick your mood accordingly.
