Bilbao
Industrial heritage meets contemporary design. Black, grey and warm wood tones throughout. Confident rather than precious — it knows what it is.

Why It Matters
One of the few hotels in Bilbao's historic old town with a genuinely Michelin-starred restaurant on-site. The building itself has architectural significance as an early concrete structure in Spain. Right on the estuary, steps from the Arriaga Theatre and Erribera Market.
A 1924 building in Bilbao's Casco Viejo that earned the distinction of being the fourth concrete-structure building in Spain. The hotel opened in 2019 after a renovation that kept the bones intact — concrete beams, exposed brick, wooden staircases, stained glass — and added contemporary interventions in steel and glass. The result is industrial-lux done with real conviction. The big draw beyond the rooms is Ola Martín Berasategui, a 1-Michelin-star restaurant on the first floor run by the legendary Basque chef and his disciple Raúl Cabrera.

On Property
How you'll actually spend your days.
A gym accessible around the clock using your room key. Cardio machines and free weights. Small but functional — and genuinely open at 3am if you need it.
A rooftop attic lounge on the seventh floor of the building. Works as a private corner for guests — somewhere to read, work, or decompress after a day in the city. Underused by most guests, which makes it all the better.
Multilingual staff (Basque, Spanish, German, English) who actively help guests plan their Bilbao itinerary — pintxo bars in the Casco Viejo, walking routes to the Guggenheim, tram connections. Multiple guests flag this as a genuine highlight.
High-end car transfer service available on request. Useful for airport runs or excursions.
