The Adria is a 22-room, 5-star boutique hotel inside a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse on Queen's Gate, South Kensington. Renovated in 2022 by Katara Hospitality, it reads less like a hotel and more like a very well-appointed private London home: low key from the outside, quietly opulent inside. The feel is closer to a members' club than a traditional hotel — personal butlers, a Games Room with a martini trolley, a butler's pantry stocked with sweet treats, and a Garden Room with a retractable glass roof.

More space than the Superior and can accommodate a third guest with an added single bed, or book connecting rooms for families. Dedicated work area, underfloor heating, soft bathrobes, and a Cipollino marble bathroom. Good for travellers who need the desk space or are bringing a child.

Executive Room
Every Executive room has its own individual layout, furniture, and design — no two are the same. A wooden four-poster bed with top-quality linens, a Cipollino marble bathroom with both a tub and a separate waterfall shower, plus a Nespresso machine and underfloor heating. The individual layouts are part of the appeal — some guests pick these specifically for that reason.

A generous step up in space with dual-aspect windows looking down on the street. Antique-style furniture, a bespoke four-poster bed, Cipollino marble bathroom, and underfloor heating throughout. You can dine at your convenience and genuinely spread out — this is where the residential feel of the building really comes through.

Two of these in the building, and they are the top of the house. Separate living, dining, and sleeping areas — you genuinely don't feel like you're in a hotel room. Marble bathrooms with both a deep tub and a walk-in waterfall shower, floor-to-ceiling Cipollino marble, organic Bamford products. And a fireplace. Curl up in front of it with breakfast whenever you like. This is the room for special occasions.

The entry-level room, and honest about it — 12 sqm is compact, but what's there is well done. King-size bed with quality linens, Cipollino marble bathroom with both bathtub and shower, courtyard views, free WiFi, satellite TV, mini bar, laptop safe, and air conditioning. Designed for two people on a sightseeing trip. No extra beds or cots can be accommodated.

The Spring & Summer Afternoon Tea (from March 2026) features finger sandwiches, scones with Dorset clotted cream, and seasonal sweet pastries. Served with Newby teas and optional Lanson Champagne or Saicho Sparkling Tea. Quieter and more intimate than central London's big hotel tea rooms. Available Mon–Sun, noon–3:30pm.
The hotel displays curated original artwork throughout the building, including pieces from the Chitra Collection, Gabriella Anouk, and Sanges Studio. Original art features in every room. A quietly distinctive touch for guests who notice these things.
The Games Room has a bar cart, a martini trolley that circulates the hotel, and a chess table. Low-key and social. One of the most characterful spaces in the building.
The Parlour and Lounge can be hired for private gatherings, meetings, and celebrations. Catering is available through Alexander & Björck, the hotel's boutique luxury events partner.
A 24-hour private fitness suite for guests, equipped with cardio machines including an elliptical trainer. Small but functional — useful for guests who want to maintain a routine without heading to an external gym.
