The Boulevard Inn
Historic townhouse B&B with polished, owner-run hospitality. Period character without being stuffy. Intimate and personal rather than corporate.
Don't skip the 5–6pm happy hour — it's where you meet the owners and other guests, and the charcuterie is genuinely good
Why It Matters
Voted #1 Best Bed & Breakfast in Richmond Magazine's 2023 Best & Worst edition. Ranked #1 of 12 B&Bs in Richmond on TripAdvisor. Curated by Tablet Hotels. Only 5 rooms, full buyout available for groups up to 16. Original 1914 stained glass throughout. Daily wine-and-cheese happy hour included.
A 5-room owner-operated B&B inside a landmarked 1914 Colonial Revival townhouse in Richmond's Fan District. Mitch (12+ years NYC hospitality) and Roni (Puerto Rican restaurant background) run the place themselves, which shows. High ceilings, original stained glass windows from 1914, detailed woodwork, and rooms named after Richmond landmarks. The whole building once served as a doctor's office in the 1950s–60s. Small by design: you're sharing the house, not checking into a block of rooms.
