THE DOLLI opened on January 1, 2023, after a seven-year renovation of a 1925 neoclassical mansion designed by Andreas Kriezis — the same architect behind the Hellenic Parliament building. Grecotel stripped the building back to its bones and rebuilt it as 46 rooms, suites, and private apartments around a rooftop infinity pool with front-row Parthenon views. The art collection alone is worth the price of admission: Picasso sketches, Jean Cocteau drawings, Lalanne sculptures, Modigliani works, and 18th-century antiques share wall space throughout the property.

The suite that Mr & Mrs Smith puts on a pedestal for its Homeric-verse-worthy outlooks. At 78 sq.m., it functions as a studio-like suite with a large living room-dining area (sofa, coffee table, designer lighting, seating for two), king-size bed, and a marble bathroom with a waterfall shower. Solid wooden floors, panelled walls, original artworks and ceramics, and locally-sourced textiles. Spectacular Acropolis views. Located exclusively on the 3rd and 4th floors, these 30-33 sq.m. suites share the hotel's best feature: mesmerising direct views of the Acropolis Sacred Rock and the Parthenon. Each suite has a custom-made bed, designer traveller's wardrobe, personal bar with tea and coffee station, natural fabrics, and cosy sitting areas. Marble bathrooms with walk-in rain showers. Bijou Room
The smallest room in the house, but it punches above its weight. At 25 sq.m., these are designed specifically for solo travellers or couples who want the full Dolli experience without paying for space they won't use. The 3.5-metre-high ceilings and patio-facing views keep things from feeling tight. Custom-made double bed, personal bar with complimentary coffee and tea station, traveller's wardrobe. Marble bathroom with a rain shower standing 3.5 metres high. Located on the 1st and 2nd floors. Note: the Bijou Room has a double bed (140x200cm) and cannot accommodate children or a baby cot.
