Editory Boulevard Aliados
Avant-garde maximalism with a circus twist. Art-forward, deliberately loud in the public spaces but more restrained in the rooms. Playful without being silly. The kind of place where adults will have more fun than families.

Why It Matters
Part of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts collection. Standout design by Ding Dong studio; commissioned artworks by three different artists (Sofia Torres murals, João Galrão sculptures, Mónica Menez photography). The Gio Party & Pasta concept — Italian dinner that becomes a DJ party at midnight — is genuinely unique in Porto. And the Aliados metro stop is literally steps from the front door.
A 5-star urban boutique hotel on Porto's grand Avenida dos Aliados, occupying two connected buildings — one facing the stately boulevard, the other backing onto the more local-feeling Rua do Almada. Design studio Ding Dong went full circus: black-and-white chevron floors, leopard-print carpet used as wallpaper, João Galrão sculptures that look like punched Playdough, and murals by Porto-based artist Sofia Torres covering the bar walls. It's bold and deliberate, not accidental. 68 rooms across 6 floors, a heated rooftop pool with giant rubber-duck inflatables, and a restaurant (Gio Party & Pasta) that flips into a nightclub at midnight.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The front desk team curates personal Porto itineraries covering art, heritage, local restaurants, and off-the-beaten-track spots. Useful for first-time visitors who want local intel rather than tourist-board suggestions.
A full evening event: Italian dinner with live performances woven throughout, culminating in a DJ set after midnight when the restaurant becomes a club. Each edition uses a different themed setting. Dress code enforced (party-elegant). Reservations essential.
The heated rooftop pool is an activity in itself. Black stone lining, plant buffers, and the now-famous giant rubber-duck inflatables. Open 10am–6:30pm daily.
