The Fish Hotel defies easy categorisation. Set high on the hillside of the 500-acre Farncombe Estate above the village of Broadway, it sprawls across a cluster of buildings — The Coach House, The Stables, The Outhouse — plus a set of hand-crafted shepherd's huts with private hot tubs and three treehouses accessed, in some cases, via rope bridges. The name comes from a Cotswolds legend about a local monastery that stored fish in cool caves under the hillside. Inside, the aesthetic is Scandi-meets-country: soothing neutrals, wood-burning stoves, and zero country-house stuffiness.

Located in the Coach House, these open-plan rooms are bigger than the Medium category and several interconnect — handy for families. En suite with shower and bath or shower only. Some are dog-friendly.
King-size or Super King
Bigger Suite
The largest suites in the hotel, with an open-plan living area and a wood-burning stove. Roll-top bath in the en suite. Sleeps up to five. Two (617 and Maudsley) have a patio terrace. All dog-friendly.
Super King + sofa bedBoaty McBoatface
The quirkiest room in the house. Same format as the Hideaway Huts — roll-top bath in the bedroom, wood burner, private hot tub — but with its own private lake and a rowing boat. Take the boat across the lake and you reach a secluded island with a decked seating area. Adults only.
DoubleCoach House Suite
Designed for couples, with a large open-plan living area and a luxurious wet room featuring both a shower and a bath. Far-reaching Cotswolds views. Not dog-friendly.

Hideaway Hut
More spacious than the Hilly Huts, these bespoke shepherd's huts feature a separate bedroom with a double bed and a roll-top bath, plus a separate en suite shower. Lounge with L-shaped sofa or two armchairs facing a wood burner. Private terrace with hot tub. Two are dog-friendly.

Five secluded hand-crafted shepherd's huts by Ashton Shepherds, set on the hillside. Each has a private hot tub with intercom to order bubbles direct to the tub. Small lounge with wood-burning stove, en suite with walk-in shower, and underfloor heating. Adults only, not dog-friendly.
DoubleMedium Room
The cosiest entry point at The Fish. Decorated in soothing neutrals with colourful accents — Scandi-country style with all the essentials. Located across The Coach House and The Stables. Comes with a £20 wine credit on booking. Some are dog-friendly.

Open-plan design with a separate lounge area and views of the Vale of Evesham. Super-king bed in the bedroom plus a double sofa bed in the lounge — ideal for families of up to four. All dog-friendly. Complimentary mini bar included.

Three woodland treehouses at 50sqm each, all with an open-plan lounge and main double bed, a separate bunk room for two children, and a wraparound deck with two heated outdoor baths. Two are accessed via rope bridges. One is dog-friendly. Full grown-up mod-cons: underfloor heating, Nespresso, minibar, en suite with shower and bath.
