Why It Matters
A rare hotel that pulls off the nightlife-hotel concept without sacrificing sleep. Pharrell Williams and David Grutman (the team behind LIV nightclub) co-created this property, with designer Ken Fulk building in enough quiet corners — the library, cocoon-like rooms — to balance the Strawberry Moon pool party energy. The Goodtime Hotel is the 2021 brainchild of Pharrell Williams and Miami nightlife kingpin David Grutman, designed by Ken Fulk. The seven-story building takes up an entire city block on Washington Avenue, one block off Collins, with 266 rooms and the Arigato Suite at the top. The pool deck at Strawberry Moon is the main event — DJs, cabanas, cocktails, the works — but the hotel is smart enough to know that not every guest wants to be at a party every night.

Arigato Suite
The only specialty suite and the top accommodation in the hotel. 1,600 sq ft of whimsical luxury: an oversized king bedroom, a huge master bathroom, a built-in bar, and a separate living area with space to properly entertain. Named and designed with its own distinct personality — the bathroom is pink-tiled and the built-in bar is a room feature on its own. If you're doing a celebratory South Beach trip, this is the room.

King 1 Bedroom Suite
The junior suite tier at 620 sq ft, with a separate living room and the hotel's nicest standard bathroom: brass-colored fixtures and a walk-in rain shower. Some corner-positioned units have expansive wrap-around views. Still no closet, but the extra square footage helps. Good option for longer stays or anyone who wants to work from the room.

At 320 sq ft, this is where the rooms actually become comfortable. Couples should go straight to this. Enough space that two people can both access their suitcases simultaneously, which sounds basic but matters in a hotel where closets don't exist. Brass fixtures and the same design details as the standards.

The entry-level room and honestly quite compact at 180 sq ft. No closet — you're living out of your suitcase. But the Florida-inspired design makes it feel intentional: green-striped bedding, a leopard-print daybed, 55-inch flat screen, and an in-room safe. Fine for a trip where you'll spend most of your time at the pool.
