Hamlet
Design-forward, residential, understated luxury. Think modernist furniture exhibition meets private Parisian pied-à-terre — genuinely lived-in rather than staged.
The Courtyard Studios are the quietest on the property — floor-to-ceiling windows face the inner courtyard rather than the street.
Why It Matters
Furnished in partnership with Vitra, the interiors read like a curated design retrospective. The co-founders — Tara (product design background, London) and Christoph (management consultancy, Vienna) — set out to do for serviced apartments what Soho House did for hotels. Architecture by Patrice Reynaud, interior architecture by Ykra, artwork by Lynne Hacking throughout.
The Hamlet is a 20-apartment serviced residence in an 18th-century townhouse in Geneva's Old Town. It's not a hotel — it's what happens when two design-obsessed founders team up with Vitra and essentially turn an historic building into a living modernist museum. Every apartment comes furnished with pieces by Jean Prouvé, Charles and Ray Eames, and Jasper Morrison, alongside Bang & Olufsen sound systems and Aesop bath products.
