Hoxton, Brussels
Design-forward, retro-cool, urban. Think mid-century meets brutalist tower block with a Latin American food concept layered on top. Young crowd, lots of laptop workers during the day, rooftop cocktails in the evening.
Book the Roomy Bath category for the standalone bathtub positioned to face the city views — it's genuinely one of the best hotel bathtub situations in Brussels
Why It Matters
It occupies a converted IBM brutalist tower — not your typical hotel building. The rooftop bar Tope sits on the 22nd floor with actual panoramic Brussels views. The Hoxton brand is known for generous public spaces and treating the lobby as a living room, and Brussels follows that playbook.
The Hoxton landed in Brussels in 2023, taking over a brutalist tower that used to house the European headquarters of IBM. Rooms run from floor 13 to 21, so the views are genuinely good — the Brussels skyline spreads out below the floor-to-ceiling windows in every category. The design leans hard into a 70s groove: striped headboards, velvet sofas in bold colours, graphic rugs, and curved shapes everywhere from the bedside lamps to the chairs. Two restaurants (Peruvian downstairs, Mexican tacos on the rooftop), a 24/7 gym, a co-working space, and a lobby bar round things out.
