Why It Matters

The Ivey's Hotel occupies the ground and second floors of the landmark J.B. Ivey & Company department store building in Uptown Charlotte. It's a 47-room boutique property with a distinctly Parisian-meets-Carolinian personality: century-old French oak floors, bespoke furnishings, vintage art, and a seriously good cocktail bar. Charlotte's only Forbes Four-Star Hotel, and it earns the designation.
